5th October 1999 - That's a date I won't forget in a hurry!

For 5 weeks I had gone round the cycle of booking my GFT only to have it cancelled due to piss-poor weather. This did not do much for :-

1. my confidence
2. my nerves!

Then, out of the blue came the forecast of a single good day - Tuesday 5th October. My test was booked for 1200, noon, and I took the day of work half expecting another cancellation.

The day of reckoning came - quiet, clear and a gentle breeze. Bugger it, no more excuses, time for the test. The moment I'd been waiting to arrive for months, and suddenly I wasn't quite so keen as I was. Hmm, funny that.
