Poor old Chris. For several years, Chris had been meaning to erect a hangar on the strip. Finally, he had sufficient enthusiasm to actually do it. He and a helper spent several days erecting his nice new hangar

And then the wind huffed, and puffed, and blew the hangar down! All that is left was a pile of debris where his hangar once (for a while at least) was.

One of the other Shadow owners has just had a quote for the repairs. A cool 6,000 pounds I heard! Apparently, while it was on its side, fuel leaked out and filled up a wing. Shadow wings contain a polystyrene foam and balsa sandwich. The fuel dissolved the foam leaving a unrepairable mess.

When I righted my trailer, I couldn't help but notice a small stream of fuel emptying from one of the wings... Oh well. That's why we have insurance.
