The beer certainly helped us ignore the downpour that lasted all evening and well into the night. It was a bit chilly during the night and rather eary - being in the middle of nowhere listening to the pouring rain and drip drip drip... We all slept okish, but I for one never sleep too well apart from my own bed at home.

The next morning we awoke to, yep, more rain. We spent the day moping around the club house and drinking tea, occasionally sending one of us out for food. It doesn't take long before boredeom sets in does it. Especially when you just know you're going to be stuck for some time to come.

So day two passes with us yet again down the local pub. How horrible is that, it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it! The rain has been totally non-stop all this time and so it continues all that night as well.

Day three and it's a rerun of Day two. Just like 'Groundhog Day', except wet. Very very wet. Our machines are still tied down enxt to a hangar in the pouring rain, but they're secure and not going anywhere. Cabin fever starts setting in and Jeremy starts climbing the walls. The forecast is still crap and the locals say the rain is here to stay for at least another few days yet.

Jeremy decides to go for it, into a misty, murky day and lightish drizzle. Roger and myself decide cowards live another day, so we see Jeremy off into the scrud and catch a train home!

Jeremy makes it back ok long before us. Bugger.
