And so off we went, me keeping a close eye on Chris and Christine who were in front of us, and Nikki who was nice and cosy in the back of the Shadow. We'd taken off from runway 24 (towards the West), so it was a quick circuit and off... Photo of Chilbolton just as we're turning downwind.

It was quite cool flying along watching Chris in front and Jim and Ingrid in our 7 o'clock (Tally-ho chaps). I was keeping a very close eye on my map, and soon I realised that I could actually still read it!

All the farmers were busy harvesting their crops. At least that left plenty of suitable fields should 'it' happen. It was quite late in the day. so all the thermals had gone, and that made for a *really* pleasant flight.
